Vitality Superfood Blend

Follow this recipe and learn how to make your own green superfood blend! An easy and delicious way to add extra nourishment to your family’s meals.
Whole Food Supplements… The Real Deal
Many people are aware that all supplements are not created equally. That being said, they may not realize that a large percentage of vitamin and mineral formulas on the health food shelves are created in laboratories from isolated and synthetic materials. Going further, even the higher quality supplements that are labeled as food-grade have often taken these very same synthetic ingredients and combined them with a yeast culture, stating that this makes the isolates more food-like and akin to the food found in nature. While this process may or may not improve assimilation, it is important to note that the end product is still quite different from the complex matrix of different vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and other healing constituents, both known and unknown, found within whole foods.
For children especially, the nutrients found in whole foods provide the nourishment needed for their growing bodies. Adding whole food powders such as Vitality Superfood and Radiance-C boosts nutrient content in a yummy and accessible way.

Why This Green Powder is Different
The ingredients listed on the labels of many supplements can be quite surprising. What I am seeing as I write these words and simultaneously review various bottles are ingredients such as propylene glycol, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, BHT, talc, titanium dioxide, sucralose, and anti-caking agents. These are literally in products designed to support health! Not too yummy!
On the other hand, this homemade greens powder is 100% food-based and composed of only whole-food ingredients such as stinging nettle, dandelion leaf, alfalfa, wheat grass, barley grass, chlorella, and spirulina. Vitamin-C-rich plants and berries such as rose hips, camu camu, orange peel, lemon peel, and acerola perfectly partner with these greens, lending not only their characteristic tang but also their own wealth of phytochemicals, bioflavonoids, and antioxidants.
More Bang for Your Buck
Even better, when you make this blend at home, you get all of this nourishing goodness without the higher price tag needed to cover fancy packaging and marketing, and you know exactly when it was made and where your ingredients came from.

How to Use
One of my favorite ways to use this blend is in my morning smoothies and fresh juices. Some people, even children, like the taste so much they just add Vitality Superfood to water, while still others have blended it into their morning fruit and yogurt bowl.
